Purpose of the study: Assessing the role and position of women in the MFI sector through a gender analysis
Research stages
1. Analysis of the activities of MFis based on data available in the public domain;
2. A sociological survey of the target group (men and women working in MFIs) in order to conduct a gender analysis that reveals differences between men and women working in MFIs in terms of resource allocation, opportunities, limitations and powers in a specific context. The survey is conducted using a specially designed questionnaire.
Research objectives
1. Identification of the most common difficulties for women in developing a career in MFIs;
2. Attitude towards initiatives to support gender diversity;
3. Assessing the prospects for the representation of women in MFIs, including in leadership positions;
4. The presence of demand for additional measures to improve the conditions and increase the efficiency of MFIs.
