Development of measures on the protection of socially vulnerable women in the field of labor, employment, social security, wages, security for inclusion in strategic program documents, including development programs for regions / ministries / departments,

Purpose: Development of measures on the protection of socially vulnerable women in the field of labor, employment, social security, wages, security for inclusion in strategic program documents, including development programs for regions / ministries / departments, and indicators for monitoring their implementation

As part of this work, UN Women, with the support of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Kazakhstan, aimed to prepare a package of effective measures to support women's rights to decent work and employment, improve social security, rights to decent wages and safe working conditions. The developed proposals were planned to be recommended for use within the framework of the implementation of program documents of ministries and departments, as well as regional development programs.

Stages:

Analytical review of the following studies of 2019:

a) a study of the gender features of female entrepreneurship;

b) the results of the study of the causes and consequences of the economic inactivity of women and their involvement in the informal economy of Kazakhstan;

c) the study of unpaid house labor of women in Kazakhstan;

Expert consultations to identify problems in the implementation of proposed support measures, taking into account the needs of socially vulnerable groups of women;

A questionnaire survey of women from socially vulnerable sections of the population in the selected 4 regions: Pavlodar, Turkestan, Mangistau and East Kazakhstan regions;

Analysis of the causes of insufficient protection of women from socially vulnerable segments of the population and ways to solve them;

Preparation of proposals for amendments and additions to strategic documents.
