AERC continues to monitor price dynamics in the new housing market using data from Krisha.kz.
According to the Bureau of National Statistics of the ASPR RK, the average price per square meter of new housing in Kazakhstan in May 2025 amounted to KZT 520,596, representing an 8.7% increase compared to May 2024.
The data from the Krisha.kz show that as of May 31, 2025 the average price per square meter of new housing stood at KZT 494,976 nationwide, reflecting a 14.7% (YoY) increase.
Key developments in the real estate market include ongoing discussions around potential restrictions on preliminary sales agreements for residential and non-residential units in buildings under construction, a proposed ban on mortgages for properties under constructions, and a prohibition on advertising without official authorization to raise equity from future homeowners.
