AERC in the current review adjusts the inflation estimate for March and forecasts inflation for April and May 2024. Continuing to monitor internal and external factors of inflation, the authors note that pro-inflationary risks for Kazakhstan still remain. At the same time, the high base effect, which played an important role in reducing the annual inflation rate until February of this year, has been exhausting itself since March. Therefore, the risks of a reversal in the dynamics of annual inflation in the country are increasing.
