AERC continues to monitor the price dynamics of new housing based on data from the Krisha.kz website. As of June 30, 2024, there were 627 new construction listings on Krisha.kz. The number of new construction listings in June sharply decreased compared to May, when there were 657 listings. However, the average price per square meter in new buildings increased by 1.9% in June, reaching 439,584 tenge compared to 431,528 tenge in May.
The cost of primary housing on Krisha.kz in Astana and Almaty also showed an increase compared to the previous month. Prices in Almaty reached a record high since we began tracking prices on Krisha.kz (i.e., since November 2023), reaching 663,767 tenge per square meter in June. In comparison, according to Krisha.kz listings, the cost per square meter of new housing in Astana was 421,634 tenge. Thus, new housing in the southern capital remains 1.5 times more expensive than in Astana and the national average.
